Ebesse Zozo Hot Sauce is the creation of Edmund Segbeaya who hails from Togo, a small country in West Africa. Hot sauce is part of everyday life in Togo, hot foods and hot sauces are eaten with every meal. It was a natural progression for Edmund to continue to make his beloved hot sauce for himself and his family in his new home land of Canada and from there Edmund turned it into a business to support his family.

Ebesse Zozo is Togolese for hot pepper and the hot pepper we’re talking about is the habanero, which is native to Africa and is renowned for its fiery heat. Considered at least “five times hotter than tabasco”, Ebesse Zozo could definitely be tagged as being “extremely hot!”

Ebesse Zozo Hot Sauces and Dipping Sauce have received some Fiery Foods Challenge Awards. We challenge you to take the fiery foods challenge yourself if you dare! (Edmund also offers a mild version of his hot sauce). You’ll often find Edmond offering samples of his excellent products at the Kootenay Co-op and at various venues around the Kootenays!
