We are truly a special place to work - here’s why!
We exist to serve our community! The Co-op conducts business with a triple bottom-line. We prioritize the social, environmental and financial sustainability of the organization and community at large. Over 9000 of our customers are member-owners of the Co-op and consistently contribute to enriching our community atmosphere.
The Co-op acknowledges the value of excellent customer service and considers its employees the focal point of exemplary service delivery. We consider there to be a direct link between internal and external service standards; therefore, are continuously refining our internal personnel systems to meet the needs of each person we work with. The essence of our training and orientation program engages an awareness of being present with and conscientious of all our customer needs. We are dedicated to ensuring authentic, caring, and knowledge based service.
The Kootenay Co-op seeks individuals who have a positive and upbeat attitude, adore great foods, possess a willingness to learn and - most importantly - love serving people!
As an employer…
We strive to enhance each person’s work experience in a variety of ways, in return - we expect the best! The Co-op prioritizes sound management practices, superior wages and benefits, and a safe and supportive work environment. It is our pleasure to encourage and provide an array of learning, growth, and development opportunities.
We believe that “the health of the planet depends on the health of its inhabitants”. As a result, the Co-op is known for its unbeatable external and internal benefits that promote work-life balance, as well as optimal health and well being.
